#Triggerfish #Bite

I am not sure if any of you have ever made close and personal contact with the front end of a #triggerfish, but I can assure you it is not something you will ever want to repeat.  Talk about being once #bitten twice shy….

On a recent trip to the #Maldives Heather Ralph caught a yellow margin #triggerfish which I had tailed for her.  In the process of handing it over to her the #fish latched onto the palm of my hand.  With a good chunk of palm flesh firmly ensnared by those huge molars the fish locked its #jaws it would not let go.  It was only after fellow angler Rudi managed to prize its jaws open with a pair of pliers that I was able to retrieve my very painful hand.
