On Saturday Duncan Hay, Andrew Mather and I fished for Natal Scalies on the #Umgeni #River and were well rewarded with several very good sized #fish. The section of river we fished was on a farm which is situated on the #Wartburg road. The river flow was strong and water clarity good.
Most of the fish were caught using a New Zealand rig with the flash-back nymphs as the point #fly. Being a #conservation area this may well become a venue that I will be fishing at quite regularly in the future.
